The devastation beset on Sri Lanka by the tsunami of December 26, 2004 moved the founders of Resplendent Hope to organize their charitable organization to aid in the restoration of this wondrous culture. Born from the love for the beauty of the Sri Lankan people, Resplendent Hope is now becoming an international organization that works to heal people and communities throughout the world who have been victims of human conflicts and natural disasters.
Dedicated to the restoration of the self worth and dignity of the most vulnerable—women in peril, orphans, and victims of sexual exploitation—Resplendent Hope identifies and partners with the most effective indigenous church leaders whose ministries manifest the love of Christ in their communities. By sharing the love of Jesus—the love that gives healing, hope, redemption and restoration—people and communities recapture their essential beauty, raising up new hope and purpose in their spirits. Their physical needs for food, shelter, clothing, and medical care are met. And the natural splendor of their environment and culture is renewed.
